what to expect as a first home buyer.

Congratulations on taking that first step toward a future as a home owner!

I bought my first home just before I turned 21, waaay back in 2001, and now, I help first timers just like you get into the market and get it RIGHT.

When you embark on this journey for the first time, here’s what you can expect …

Firstly, I won't sugar coat it.

Buying your first home or even your first investment property can be a real rollercoaster ride of ups and downs. It's often a mix of highly charged emotions and at any given time, you could feel excited, nervous, stressed out, anxious, worried, out of your depth, and the best feeling of all - accomplished. I know this because I do it all day every day for home buyers. Not to mention my many years of buying property for myself.

Some people have described the process to me as "exhilarating" and "like they've just run a marathon", but one thing I know for certain is that buying real estate (especially for first timers) can be plagued with traps, pitfalls and holes that can take many years (and dollars) to dig your way out of. Not to mention the disappointment of buying what you thought was a great first home, but it turned out to be a dud. No wonder people put it off or steer clear of it completely!

For some, it's just all too hard, and belongs in that basket ... but it doesn't have to be this way.

Buying a home is a highly emotional process, but at the same time, an incredibly rewarding experience.

After all, isn't the Great Australian Dream to own your own home? And despite what people might say, it's still very achievable with the right advice and guidance.

Notice how I keep repeating the word Process.

Yep, buying property is a Process, and not an Event, like some people think. If you can get your head around the fact that buying property is first and foremost, a process, you'll be much better prepared to navigate the road a lot more strategically and with greater ease. You'll know what to expect.

And as with any process, there are often bumps along the way, but with my help, I hope to smoothen out these highs and lows and keep you on track to making your first purchase a success!

So with that said, let's take that next step...
